CSSN takes an inclusive approach to find experts in Canada in a broad range of scientific disciplines. Indeed, CSSN is  the largest single source for speakers, panelists, committee members, board members, and collaborators in the sciences  in Canada.  Rather than relying on traditional approaches such as personal networks or familiar names, CSSN generated an unbiased searchable directory of scientists. CSSN  is a not-for-profit enterprise striving to foster Canadian science through creating networks based on scientific excellence, inclusion and diversity.
