Canadian Sciences Speakers Network
Promoting Collaboration, Outreach and Engagement across Canada
Who Are We?
The Canadian Sciences Speakers Network provides a registry of researchers, across all disciplines, which will facilitate a more robust and effective means of building collaborations and filling grant panels (for example) than the traditional “word of mouth” approaches. Innovation flourishes in diverse environments and thus, this platform is aimed at leveraging the incredible diversity in our highly active research community.
This is a not-for-profit initiative that was founded by researchers, for researchers and with research who are keen to enhance our scientific potential through the generation of a new network to promote collaboration and leverage our diversity as Canadians.
This Platform Is Designed:
To enhance innovation by providing a registry to assist researchers and others in finding experts and new colleagues
This registry will be a more effective approach to find specialists with specific expertise across a range of geographic locations and demographics – for questions, collaborations and community. This site provides an important tool for forming collaboration for projects, grants, panels, etc.
To better share research findings and new knowledge to the press and the public
This registry can be leveraged by the specialist and popular press, by industry and charities (and other interested parties) to find experts in specific fields for interviews (TV, radio, web, print), expert opinion, collaboration, etc. Our registry will facilitate dissemination of knowledge, collaborations, membership of team grants, and reports in the scientific and popular press.
To facilitate identification of the most innovative researchers for awards and broader recognition
Our registry recognizes the incredible diversity of the research landscape in Canada and will provide a broader reach for sourcing candidates thereby enabling the very best to be considered for awards and honours, in the creation of speakers series, in the formation of grant & award review panels, and for public panels.
